The current season raises many questions regarding the new players of Valencia CF. Despite the arrival of several reinforcements, their impact on the field has proven minimal so far. Let’s analyze the situation of the club’s recruits and their role in the team.

A limited impact from the reinforcements

During this season, the reinforcements of Valencia have not managed to establish themselves in the team. In the nine matches played in La Liga, these players have only participated in 25.2% of the starting appearances and 27.5% of the minutes spent on the field. This lack of playing time is particularly concerning for a team that has faced difficulties, repeatedly occupying relegation positions.

By comparison, Osasuna, another La Liga club, has successfully integrated its three recruits, who have been starters in 82% of the matches and have accumulated 78.6% of the minutes played in competitions. This disparity raises questions about the management and integration of new players at Valencia.

Individual performances of the recruits

Among the seven players integrated this summer by Valencia, Luis Rioja stands out as a key element of the team, with 78% of starting appearances and 80% of minutes played. Unfortunately, this is not the case for other recruits, such as Dimitrievski, who remains on the bench due to the excellent form of Mamardashvili, and Rafa Mir, who has only been a starter in 33% of the matches.

Players like Enzo Barrenechea and Dani Gómez also show similar statistics, demonstrating a widespread absence of the newcomers on the field. Furthermore, recruits like Germán Valera have not yet had the chance to start, participating in only 5% of the possible minutes.

Two recruits without minutes played

It is important to note that Valencia is the only club that has two of its summer recruits, Stole Dimitrievski and Maximiliano Caufriez, who have yet to see any playing time. This fact reflects an adaptation problem within the team’s tactical system and a lack of confidence from the coach, Baraja. The current season should therefore be an opportunity to rethink the integration of new players.

Overall situation of the reinforcements in La Liga

The situation of Valencia’s recruits is concerning compared to other clubs in La Liga. By examining the statistics, Valencia ranks among the teams with the lowest percentage of playing time granted to its new players, surpassed only by FC Barcelona and Athletic Club in terms of absence from the field.

In conclusion, the effectiveness of Valencia’s reinforcements does not seem to meet expectations. The team faces the need to quickly integrate its new players and optimize their potential in order to improve their situation in La Liga.
